After 10 years, I’ve made the decision to close the doors to my permanent makeup studio.

This is a bittersweet decision because permanent makeup has never simply been a career for me. It has been deeply personal.

I have lived with Trichotillomania since I was 11 years old. I pull my eyebrows and eyelashes, and it is something I continue to live with today. Many of you are aware of my story.

In 2016, I attended a Trichotillomania conference in Dallas and met a woman named Josie whose tattooed brows inspired me to get my own brows done. That experience ultimately led me to become a permanent makeup artist.

From the beginning, I had two very personal missions:

• To break the stigma around why people choose permanent makeup.
  • Permanent makeup isn’t always about vanity. For many, it can be about hair loss, cancer, alopecia, Trichotillomania, aging, or simply feeling like themselves again.
• And to bring awareness to Trichotillomania.
  • By sharing my own story, I hoped others would feel less alone and less ashamed of something so few people understand.

Over the past 10 years, I have had the incredible privilege of meeting thousands of people, hearing their stories, and helping them feel a little more confident in themselves. I will forever be grateful for every person who trusted me.

But now, it is time for me to close this chapter.

My studio will officially close on December 31, 2026.

Effective immediately, I will only be accepting a small amount of new clients, For the remainder of 2026, my main focus will primarily be offering color boost appointments for clients who need a refresh. If you are a new client who has already scheduled, nothing will change for you.

If you’ve been thinking about getting your brows refreshed before I close, please don’t wait until the last minute, as appointments will be limited.

Although my permanent makeup career is coming to an end, the mission behind it will always be a part of me. I will continue to talk openly about Trichotillomania and advocate for those who have experienced hair loss for reasons that have nothing to do with vanity.
